Love the Swissmar Raclette with cast iron top

We have been using Swissmar Raclettes for several years, and this is one of our favourite ways to socialize over dinner. The cast iron top cooks really well, and maintains the heat evenly. We cook seafood, steak, chicken, pork, etc, cut into bite size pieces. My grandson marinates salmon, which is delicious. I love portabellas cut fairly thick, and asparagus, but you can cook many different veggies. Remember to brush the surface with good oil. We have mashed potatoes, with sour cream on the bottom raclettes, and top with a good melting cheese when potatoes are warm. Place under heat again to melt. We have bought several raclettes, so we now use one for two people, but you can certainly have more people using one. Swissmar has a great little cookbook, with many great suggestions. Try the zucchini coins with yogurt dip. My daughter's friend named the sauce "Amazo Sauce" Try raclette, you will love it.
