Swiss Raclette Cheese from Seiler, 7lbs., half square
This raclette cheese is imported from Switzerland, made by Cheese Maker Seiler since 1928 in the Sarneraatal. The half square weighs approximately 7 lbs and is easy to slice for the raclette dishes of a raclette grill.
The excellent meltability of this classic raclette cheese is always convincing. Its typical spicy taste combined with its creamy and full-bodied consistency results in an absolutely harmonious overall package and should therefore not be missing from any raclette meal.
The Seiler raclette cheese is matured for at least 3 months and are regularly washed to protect them from drying out. The ripening period has a significant influence on the taste and aroma of the cheese: the longer the cheese is stored and cared for, the spicier it becomes. The beautiful natural rind, which can be consumed without any problems, is obtained by storing the cheeses in the cellar on wooden boards.
The raclette cheese contains no lactose (less than 0.1 g / 100 g) and is rich in high-quality protein, essential amino acids, calcium and phosphorus. It is also a good source of vitamins A, D, B2 and B12.
