This is by far the highest quality wire cheese slicer on the internet. You can't go wrong with Swiss made products. I highly recommend purchasing 2 slicers. One for you and your family and one more to be given to someone dear to you. Sonja and the team have been a joy to work with.
Almost Perfect Slicer
Another reviewer mentioned a spare wire should be included. True. Our wire parted company the first week but to be fair, it happened during an attempt to cut through the rind. The tips of the wire are flattened so they won't pull through the square post. We found enough pressure will pull the tip through. I removed the part, pushed the wire back in and turned the square post so the slot and flattened wire no longer aligned. So far, so good. Definitely get spare wires. If screws are rusting per a previous review, they can be replaced with stainless screws. This product would benefit from an upgrade to stainless screws in the future. Other than that, this cheese slicer is built like a tank and should last long enough to become a family heirloom.

Products are first rate quality and customer service was excellent. When they didn't have the cookbook I wanted in stock they offered to send me a later version for free. I received the items, including the large block of cheese in record time and packed securely in ice. I've been looking for someone who specializes in this type of cheese and activity for a long time and am so glad I found this company. Highly recommend.
