Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP, full wheel, 17 lbs
This Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP is made on Alp Gantrischli in Canton Fribourg, Switzerland. Crafted the old fashioned way, the cheese is wrapped with a gauze band around the wheel with a bumpy, rustic looking surface. Deep, earthy, and perfectly light, with a yogurt like sourness, slight core still in the paste. The Vacherin melts like cream. It is made from raw milk.
The full wheel is about 17 lbs.
Vacherin is an indispensable part of the popular Moitié-Moitié fondue and tastes delicious on its own too.

The cheese will usually ship with UPS ground or US priority mail the following Monday or Tuesday after placing the order. We will contact you if we feel that we can't guarantee the freshness of the cheese by ground shipment. To avoid expedited shipping charges we ship the cheese on ice. Please allow for a fee of $4.00 to cover the cost of ice and foil.
