For the perfect President’s Day meal, throw some classic burgers onto the raclette grill and top with some perfectly melted cheese!
Raclette Burger
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 pound ground lean (7% fat) beef
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
1 or 2 cloves minced garlic
About 1/2 teaspoon salt
About 1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 slices of cheddar cheese
1 onion, chopped
4 hamburger buns, split
Toppings of your choice
Directions:
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, Worcestershire, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper until well blended. Divide mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about 4 inches wide.
- Lay burgers on an oiled raclette grill over medium heat. Cook burgers, turning once, until browned on both sides and no longer pink inside.
- Meanwhile, grill onions on the raclette simultaneously.
- When the burgers are nearly cooked, place each slice of cheddar cheese in a separate raclette dish until melted.
- Brown the buns on the raclette grill top.
- When the burgers are fully cooked, place on buns, scrape the melted cheese onto the burger. Add the grilled onion along with any other toppings of choice.
- Enjoy!
