Crepe on the raclette grill?
Posted by Sonja Hoffmann on
If you own a table top raclette grill with a reversible grill top you have to try making crepes with it. The thin, pancake like crepes can be served with fruit, jam, or Nutella as a dessert or a breakfast food but also with some ham and freshly grated cheese for a more hearty meal. Here is our family favorite with Nutella and Banana slices. Here my basic recipe and some pictures for inspiration.
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 13/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
Optional
- 1-? tablespoon Nutella
- 1-? tablespoon Honey
- 1-2 Bananas
Directions
Mix milk and eggs in blender, add the flour and mix some more. If the flour sticks to the wall, turn off the blender and scrape it off the wall. Add more flour if the batter is too watery. It should have the consistency of soup. It's supposed to be thin, not like pancake batter!
Melt the butter on the griddle at medium heat.
Turn with a non stick turner. When the bottom is golden brown, transfer the crepe to a plate. Or add sliced banana and drizzle honey over it while still on the griddle.
The family favorite is the Nutella version:
If you are interested in a grown up version of this recipe pour an ounce of Cointreau over the crepes after you placed it on a plate.
